Arrived in Maurach am Achensee, you can easily reach us with the Rofan ropeway. The trail (route 401, marked) starts directly at the parking place of the Rofanseilbahn. Duration: approx. 2 hours, approx. 860 vertical meters.

Journey description

The closest train station is in Jenbach. From there you can continue your journey by bus or in summer with the Achenseebahn (the oldest steam-powered train in Europe) to Maurach (Rofanseilbahn) or by Bus (timetable of the Verkehrsverbunds Tirol).


From Bavaria: Tegernsee station with the bus line 9550 of the regional traffic of Oberbayern.


Drivers take on the Inntalautobahn the junction Achensee / Zillertal or the access road from Munich via Tegernsee and the Achenpass or Bad Tölz and the Sylvensteinsee. Please park the cars at the upper parking lot of the cable car, in consultation with the management of the Rofanseilbahn (parking pass).
