Our Berggasthof Rofan lies in the middle of a beautiful hiking and climbing paradise.

We are easy to reach because it is located right next to the mountain station of the Rofanseilbahn. With the ropeway in about 10 minutes or by foot between one and a half and two hours you can enjoy the view from our terrace. At our terrace you can have a look at the Karwendel mountains, Zillertal Alps and Rofan mountains and the turquoise Achensee, which is the largest lake in Tyrol.

What could be better than to indulge in culinary delights after a great climb, with down-to-earth Tyrolean cuisine.

Whether homemade strudel, dumplings, Kaiserschmarren and our popular venison specialties everything is prepared with love.

If you want to sleep in the mountains …. It is also possible with us.

We can accommodate about 60 people in double and four bed rooms, and of course we also have shared rooms from the smallest for 5 people to the largest for 12 people.

Why not stay up there?

Have you ever really experienced and felt the "mountains"? Hardly any experience is more impressive than a night at the Berggasthof Rofan. Stay in our rustic, cozy mountain lodge with shared, double or quadruple rooms. A very special atmosphere with sunsets and sunrises, as you have never experienced before.

Our cabin is the ideal place to stay for larger and smaller groups. There is room for about 40 people in the shared rooms and about 20 people in double and four bed rooms.

After a hearty breakfast you can immerse yourself in the mountains of the Rofan - Summits up to 2200 meters above sea level are waiting for you.

The Almstüberl in the Rofangebirge

Our Almstüberl is located aside the Berggasthof Rofan or directly next to the top station of the Rofanseilbahn. Enjoy the most beautiful view of the Rofan mountains from the terrace or relax in the sitting room. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delicacies from the Tyrolean kitchen. Especially popular are the homemade cakes, strudel and our venison specialties.
